Every once in a blue moon (and we're not talking about Blue Moon Odom, who debuted in the Big Leagues at age 19 and later helped lead the Oakland A's to three straight World Series titles in the 70s) a great baseball talent comes along at a young age, and all the college recruiters and scouts descend on him. But for the rest of the world, it works the other way around: if you have aspirations of playing beyond high school, and perhaps using your baseball skills to get into college, you have to find the recruiters. And that's why we created the GSL College Showcase - which returns July 5-10, 2023 in Centralia, WA.
The Showcase brings together more than 750 of the top 16-18 year olds in the Pacific Northwest for some high-level competition at Fort Borst Park in front of more than 60 college scouts, from JUCOs to D1. Many alumni of this event have gone on to play college ball, and more importantly to continue their educations and earn college degrees that might not have been possible without the attention they earned on the diamond.
We couldn't be more proud than when we see the huddled conversations between college coaches and young players and their families that take place in the stands and off the field all throughout the College Showcase.
